  1. Their voices are fine enough, but they end certain lines sharply and abruptly and thus lessen the beauty of this classic carol (at least for me). It’s odd vocalization, and I’m sure I could describe it better if I listened more. It’s free though and you may as well download it and form your own opinion.

I far and away recommend Loreena McKennitt’s “Coventry Carol” more than this one.

  2. Yes, they can harmonize and it’s not a bad version, but if you want THE BEST and most haunting version, there is only one choice, and that is Alison Moyet’s…..

  3. Acapella all female singers harmonize beautifully in this carol. If you are a fan of Celtic Woman or Enya you’ll enjoy this music. The other songs on this CD show the range of styles that this group sings. A very enjoyable diversion from the normal Christmas fare.

  4. Wow, beautiful harmonizations. I usually am more of a fan of male a cappella choirs, but this was really beautiful. Makes me wish I was in a choir. I am off to see how much the album is (that is, if it’s all a cappella).

  5. A lovely carol. Puts me in the mood for cinnamon and apple spiced coffee! Strangely comforting.
