Lee Greenwood has always been one of my favorites, first time I’ve heard a Christmas tune of his. Recommend!
Rating: 5 / 5
Okay, its bad and I deleted it but its not THAT bad. I can see someone liking this version, just not me.
Rating: 1 / 5
I have never been able to get on the Lee Greenwood bandwagon. Something about how he sings has always turned me off. This song actually seems lower than average for Lee. The cheap sounding background music and singers are just as others have said, cheesy and or corny. They sound canned, really. Canned cheesy corn. This is bad grocery store or parade music. I only give two stars because 1.) Lee does actually hit the notes he is supposed to, and 2.) this isn’t a raunchy or inappropriate song (which there are way too many of this year). But really, I strongly dislike this song. Lee, the 80′s are calling and they want their holiday music back.

This is a Big-Band crossover Pop-Country mid-tempo version of this Christmas Carol…not great, but not bad, either. Lee hits the high notes here…

The horns and drums give this version a modern feel, and Greenwood’s thin voice hits the high notes. You’ve probably already got several copies of Joy to the World in your Christmas mix, and this one might not be your new favorite, but it’s pretty good too.
