The Mystery of the Crystal Portal

This was a very good game, but it was very short. It only took my 5yr old son and I about 2.5 hours to complete. The ending is poor. It just stops.

I am on my second time of playing the game. I had to use a lot of hints the first time around since some of the objects are so obscure. So, now I am trying to play it with fewer hints. It is well worth the price and I can see myself replaying after not playing for awhile. The graphics are well done and while I usually skip through the story line, I actually watched these. Highly recommend it to puzzle lovers.

I’ve played many HOG and find it harder and harder to keep my interest past the 60 minute trial. However, this one has beautiful, sharp graphics and a unique twist on the seek and find genre. I bought it right when the trial expired, which is something I rarely do. Each level has key objects that you must identify before receiving your “list” of items to find that are specific to that key object. Some objects just animate when activated, others reveal further clues. There is also a puzzle at the end of each level. They aren’t difficult, but they break up the monotony of finding objects. Overall, a great game.
